Our History

It has been shown that listening to and playing music brings both short- and long-term benefits, ranging from changes in attention and motivation to improved interaction with others, as well as enhancements in verbal memory, math skills, and reading ability. What is essential, particularly for children, is the playful aspect of music, which—by making learning an instrument fun, easy, and engaging—helps make music an integral part of a child’s life, to the point of turning it intoa “way of life,” through which character is built, good taste is cultivated, good manners are developed, and children learn to relate to others while respecting rules, but also by refining their sensitivity.

It is with these intentions

whose creator, Prof. Francesco Alfarano, a musician, expert on the instrument, teacher, and music educator, developed the concept for the FF1 in 2014. The Flauto Facile is, in fact, nothing less than the culmination of years of listening, direct observation, and experience gained in school workshops, working closely with children. At the heart of the concept is the recorder, which for years has been universally recognized as the most suitable instrument for teaching music and instrumental practice in elementary and middle school; a series of substantial structural modifications have been made to it, the result of a collaboration with CETMA, the Engineering, Design, and Materials Technology Center in Brindisi.

The Fins

The two rear tabs have been specifically designed to ensure proper hand posture, providing a secure grip and thus allowing the fingers to be positioned correctly.

The Keys

The upper part of the flute features a flattened section in the curve of the conical tube at the keys, making it easier to cover the holes.

On the back of the instrument, at the junction between the upper part and the main body, a small recess serves as a reference point for proper alignment between the parts.
